** The Official ATI RV770/RV700 Series Review/Overclocking Thread **

Ah, was that Your base for modding ?...did ask before as Your bios had a fan table, and I thought I had looked at all the bioes aswell, Must have missed that.

[Wit]Clearly all that is important Gurusan is what you get in Crysis with 2 cards modded using crossfire [/Wit] ;) :D

Nice going btw, some real good clocks in there! Would recommend though since you clocking memory and using water that you get a fan blowing over them memory areas to take the heat away :)

Cool :) Wouldn't want you to burn the card out early in it's life. Just some peeps tend to get a water setup, and then forget (or ignore) the importance of still having good airflow, thinking water is the cure for all.

Depending what You did to the bios it's best to clean out and reinstall drivers..just swapping bios back will make matters worse, Also optimise 1 card don't try messing with multiple cards and bioses ;)

I used Gurusans bios, it seemed fine in 3D but i was gettin speckles at desktop and 3D06 would artifact in the cpu tests. It seemed that maybe the powerplay voltage wasnt enough. I then flashed back to the sapphire bios.

Ill try one card at a time and reinstall drivers tonight.

I Had a Play with that bios settings...no denying He has great results but apparently 1.2v is the max setting that should be used funny results like You !
I've had no great reliable/consistant results in the overclocking department starting using 06@1600x1200 and get not far short of the default resolution scores !, seems the bandwith of a single card is being bottlenecked by the rest of the system !

Anyone know of a quick simple benchmark app for XP, something like aquamark ?

Are there any stresstest tools that will work both GPU's at once in a crossfire setup? Stuff like Furbench and rthdribl only appear to work a single GPU.

Ok I've drawn a conclusion regarding the 4850 is RBE does not seem to work correctly when You start modding power play levels/voltages, gurusans results are excellent but My sapphire cards will not run anywhere near his speeds (un voltmodded speeds)
The MSI bios with lower 2d settings work and reduce desktop power draw about 7 watts..pretty good when it is only 103 watts to begin with, but You can not get any overclock without problems.
At this moment in time I think RBE is not working correctly with the new cards and would advise anyone to Just use it for fan control and don't double edit bios files, start always with an unedited copy

be very interested if Anyone other than gurusan has had better luck than Me ?

Some crossfire on P35 benchies i've done:

which drivers are you using?

Some crossfire on P35 benchies i've done:

Do game splay smoothly on the P35 crossfire with the 4850's. Just that when I tried in past, it ran quite horribly. Especially COD 4. Though I think most of the problems were down to powerplay bug, COD 4 simply did not like crossfire on the P35.

All seem to work fine.

I know what you mean about CoD4 on the P35 tho, I tried Tri-Fire when the X2 came out with a 3870 and it was terrible.

Worked fine on single X2, but if you Tri-Fired the framerate just died.

Havn't had that problem with the 4850's, everything has just worked fine.
