The Mass Effect (PC) Discussion Thread

It picks the team member with the highest skill rating, so if you try and hack something, the one with the highest hacking skill will perform the task.

yeah it is a little annoying, the game is just "flashy" has a good interface but lacks real depth, shame really lets just hope 2 and 3 add a little more to the game. I want planets that have some life to them, ive seen 1 type of indiginous lifeform roaming a planet. no plantlife whatsoever I dont care about realism and that no planet bar earth can support life, its a sci fi, make stuff up!!:D

I've seen monkeys and weird centaur type creatures.

But the carbon copy bases and ships are a bit lame.

First play through took me 7 hours. I think i missed a bit :p

Seven?

Took me 30.

I was level forty-something, but with my pistol and sniper rifle, I was a one-woman death squad. Seriously awesome.

Can't wait for the sequel, especially if it uses the savegame from this one :D

Oh man. Search. "It's not that monkey". Search. "It's not that monkey". Etc.

Can you shoot them? I didn't try, as I was playing nice.

The carbon copy bases make sense, when you think that the easiest way to set up a base on a new planet is to take the pre-fab kit with you and just sink it into the ground.

Lame for gaming, but that's probably how space travel will be initially for humans.

Maybe.

not required to scan that keeper; you're missing one somewhere else. if you haven't left the citadel, there is one right next to the normandy, which was my last one.

Have you talked to the volus in the c-sec academy yet, I've noticed if you don't do that mission the keeper in embassy next to the human one does not appear.

done the one next to normandy,
the one behind the barkeep as well.

volus is the guy with the dead wife...? hmm I blew him off in the very beginning by mistake.

another point I am missing is the sidequest that you have to trace a signal...
... it says it's somewhere in the market... but cant find it...
its not in the back red corridor.. is it?

Im looking to get this, anyone tell me what they think of it and is it worth the price, graphics good? gameplay good? and is it brought on steam or a stand-alone install and play game?

Howdy, I enquired a while back for a decent RPG and this was suggested. I was wondering what kind of gamestyle an RPG this is. I'll soon be needing a new game to play as I've almost finished Knights of the old Republic (friend recommended).
