In a "Karma" kinda way or in a "you've broken the rules set by God" kinda way.
neither, that isn't what sin is.

It is an interesting idea. I'd like to know what you'd base your book on. Would it champion science as the 'be all and end all' and a provider of ultimate truth?
This could be one way of taking it. However, surely doing all this wouldn't we, the converted-atheists who've been chosen to put God's words onto paper and, ironically, arguing in the name of science (thus theoretically disregarding "God"), actually be testifying to his existence?

Sorry I'm talking about the "effect on people", what causes the effect.
How would you classify Sin, can you give a couple of examples of something you consider a Sin
I think he means because of Adam & Eve, we are already born in Sin. So bad stuff is supposed to happen because god made it that way.
Sin is a cause of the "effect on people". Almost like an air of negativity.
So if I murder somebody I may "have an air of negativity", doesn't sound too bad![]()
Very ambiguous I know.
It seems in order for this plan to work I need to identify some kind of harmonious relationship between religion and science, whereby "God" can exist but science is ultimately correct and religion is incorrect.
Anybody with me?![]()
But I don't see any incompatibility between science and religious belief
It's OK I'm gettting pretty used to it.
What religion though, certain religions say the earth is only a few thousands years old where science thinks it about 4.5 billion, isn't that an incompatibility?
Just have a rough kind of idea.

I don't think any of us can claim to have all the answers
So it's this air of negativity that causes bad things to happen?
fact, interpreting the Bible completely literally doesn't really work at all because it's self-contradictory.
