hi guys well i have just filled my 500gb hard drive after ripping most of my dvds and music to my pc i am now looking for the best way to add more storage is it best to get another hard drive and stick all my films and stuff on that and if so can i set up 2 as raid or something?

also whats the slowest speed to go for as i will be watching films and music back from this disk

any help on what to do will be nice :D

wont usb be slow to stream video and music from? just looked at what ocuk have and was thinking about another 1tb drive just seen there 7200rpm so nice and fast any way so would use that as main drive and add old 500gb as raid or something.

also will windows vista 64bit do a copy of hard drive like on mac when u put a new hard drive it it copy's everything like files programs and settings to your new hard drive so you don't lose anything with an upgrade?

thats if you need to copy files to/from the drive a lot. moving a couple of gig here and there i dont mind usb, above 20 maybe it can take ages.

also if you plan to back the drive up fairly regulary go for eSATA, copying 700gig in one go on usb is painful
