that amp can be bridged and it would be about 300w at 4ohms bridged

what sub do you want to run from it

Thanks dude! :D

I was looking at this sub and asked about its propriety earlier :

Also, this Orion amp looks excellent for the money, am I being stupid?

Though the amp may be slightly over powered, perhaps the sub should be this :P

Looks like my car will fit 6.5"s!! :) I'm also not going to bother with the 6x9s at all, and instead am going to replace the stock 5x7s with something appropriate, when money allows.

I'll start with the amp and components first, then invest in another amp and sub.

i would get 2 of them orion amps for that money they are silly powerful and orion is a good make 1 for the sub and 1 for the components. The rainbow subs would work with them amps to :)

I've got a 25 quid JBL GT5 12" sub and had a custom box made for it (40 quid but 1.8 cubic feet, vented, tuned to 33Hz) and it's ran off a 290w RMS JBL GTO 75.2 amp which cost me 30 and it runs rings around so many subs I've heard in friends cars and elsewhere for the pennies it all cost.

If you want loads of volume for not much power going in, definitely look into a vented enclosure for whatever you choose.

For budget, you can't beat JBL as said earlier... however, I really want to change the lot to Hertz stuff as time passes, quality kit indeed :) You can get Hertz Dieci components around 70 quid but Hertz Energy sound amazing for the money (around 110-120 quid) - lot warmer, bigger and deeper sound - really impressive for the cash.

EDIT: Vibe amps are very good!

Stormster, cheers for your imput fella :)

After looking around, it seems that the amp being a higher wattage than the sub is a good thing, so I think I'm set :)

Purchases this month is the HU and amp number one :D

Trying to work out stealthed mounting for the tweets :)
