gamedaily: Top 10 consoles of all time (NO PS3)

everyone is complaining about reliability on the 360 but in my experience it is far more reliable than the ps2 (which is in the list without any complaints,)

I had 5 ps2 consoles overall but i have only ever had the one 360, If anyone still has the old style ps2 i bet there are very few of those that can still play the blue disk games/audio Cd's

It is just that now if anyone has the slightest problem with their console they go to the internet and moan about it on there which makes more people aware of the problems

ps3 is nowhere near the top 3 yet. snes, ps1 and dreamcast for me followed by n64, original gameboy, ps2,360, megadrive, ds, ps3, gamecube, xbox.

i don't even know that the ps3 would even have featured as a games machine rather than an av machine up until a few months ago for me.

I agree with the 360 being top and the dreamcast being there :P. Though I'd have the n64 third or infront of the dreamcast at 2. I'd also have the xbox in there somewhere (get rid of the DS or gamecube :P)

Id have ther 360 top in my list. Simpley because its the console that has given me the greatest gaming experience. Its a pleasure to use and some of the games are superb. Its also the first console that has dragged me away from PC gaming.

The GameCube and the original Xbox were pretty on par really, down to personal taste as to which one you like better I think.

I'd class the GameCube just ahead of the Xbox.

I was thinking about that, Eternal Darkness, Resident Evil and Resident Evil 4 being the main reasons to be honest, however its major releases like Zelda (Wind Waker), Mario (Sunshine) and Mario Kart (Double Dash) just weren't as good as the ones before it and didn't deliver, whereas the Xbox brough Ninja Gaiden, Halo, Halo 2, JSR etc...

Ironic really that I mostly have fond memories of Nintendo's console for the violent horror games on it and Nintendo have always frowned upon them.

I just thought the consistency of top titles were higher on Xbox.

Lol i love this whole discussion

I say;
1. Mega drive- its just so simple and fun!
2. N64- Its 3D for the masses!
3. Dreamcast- Way ahead of its time, last modern console with truly original games (jet set radio to kick things off)
4. Gameboy! im so peeved no ones really considered this! it survived so long and POKEMON!!!
5/6. This is the grey area where the cube and ps2 fight as cube has the new zelda (amazing with a pad) but ps2 had gt4

As for the new ones! the Wii is a gimmick for the masses (re-makes of amazzing n64/cube games with silly remotes), the 360 is just average (most the good games are on pc/ps3 and the new banjokazzoie game is the only one im really interested in) and for the ps3 its just not ready yet :( (same as the firs year i owned/of the ps2)

Because when it works (as mine as has done pretty much since launch) it's provided the most consistent period of great gaming in my life. I look at my Wii, I look back at last gen and the PC gaming I've done and hand on heart 360 is number 1.

If yours has worked fine since launch, why did you use the DRM tool to transfer licenses?
