Vauxhall Corsa

this is all very good, until you consider that people will happily spend TWELVE THOUSAND POUNDS and upwards on a corsa

OMG, and they don't complain either, they must be mad!!! lol :)

In the same vein, people spend £40K on a new E92 5 series which will loose £20K in 3 years..

I fail to see people points on all of this, it's easy to just say the Corsa is a crap car for £12K, but as 'new' cars go, you can't actually do much better...

So basically, is everyone just pointing out that 'any' new car is "OOMMGGGZZZZZ stupid to buy" ??

Cos I can't believe people are still OMG'ing at the fact that you can buy better second hand cars then you can new for the same money, but I guess the bandwagon moves slowly..

;)

Some people don't care WHAT car they have, just that they have a car that has the highest letter or number on a little bit of perspex on either end of the car, and the lowest number on a little dial/display on the inside of the car, and they'll pay the premium for it.

That's why you see people paying £12k for a Corsa that you might not want to pay more than £12 for, but to them it's their pride & joy.

I say let people continue buying brand new cars - it gives sensible people like us used or nearly-new cars for much less cash! ;)

Price is irrelevant. The image of the corsa generally sucks (there is a corsa regularly trooping around here at the moment illustrating my point perfectly) and if vauxhall have the same ethos with it as they do the astra then it must be pants to drive.

I can't, it doesn't have a trip computer and they gave it to me with a quarter of a tank so I can't even calculate it the old fashion way.

*chuckles to self*

Foxie, you lurve the little Corsa, you know you do!

On another note, I'm driving a brand new council spec Vectra Life as a hire car at the moment while I'm waiting for my Audi to arrive. It has to be the most dull car I have ever driven! Just thought I'd share as I know how much you love Veccys.
