My hard drive setup:
250GB x2 RAID0: OS, nothing important
500GB Int.: Storage - everything important
500GB Ext.: Backup above
The external is an eSATA enclosure.
I can see my 500GB storage drive running out of space fairly soon, so I want to look at buying a TB drive for storage.
If I was to buy a 1TB drive for storage I'd want to buy a 1TB to basically mirror that (backup).
Rather than buying two 1TB drives could I just buy one, stick my current 500GB storage in an enclosure and RAID it with my 500GB backup drive?
Basically, what I'm asking is: Is eSATA RAID 0 possible?
