I think the Wii is the worst for it, but the PS2 was certainly a larger culprit than the PS1.

Although the PS1 did have Lone Soldier... A memory I try, but cannot forget.

360 as number one, and it hasn't even been out that long to give an accurate answer on its staying power.

o dear silly list.

SNES and PS1/2 should be up in the top few, and what the hell with the dreamcast choice, useless and never knew of anyone actually buying one.

How can you have an "All-Time Greatest" list without having the first proper games console?
(yeah I know the Binatone Grandstand was before it (had one myself :o) but you were limited to "sport" games only (all based around Pong, IIRC))
 
PS2 launch night was the best ever for me - Game opened at 11.45pm for minglers and browsers but tills didnt open until 12.01am, 300 people in a shop that shouldnt legally have more than about 150-200 , absolute jam packed

N64 I enjoyed (esp Wave Race) a great deal and PS1, but Im staggered that x360 is top of the pile, it must be just because its most recent (no payoff by MS suggested :))
 
Why not the 360 as #1? The n64 was good BACK THEN! the controls are so horrible if you use them now and really it only had a few good games

There was a lot of rubbish on this console, where as the 360 has basically redifined console gaming its bought a huge step forwards for gaming in the comfort of your sofa. Ok the PS3 has too, but lets not forget the PS3 was way behind the 360 release date wise and general opinion is that XBOX LIVE is much better than the PSN.

I think if you go by what it has bought us then its definately #1

Because the X360 was first to market with basically what Windows has been doing for donkeys years (only in a slightly different format) it has bought " a huge step forward to gaming" - come on thats a HUGE exaggeration

Im not knocking the groundwork or the fact MS did it first, only that it was basically copied from another system first rather than anything major (even though MS had a huge benefit from having the inards of Windows available to the developers)
