Just had new mirrors fitted, if some of you caught my other thread I was doubting they were even gonna come but thankfully they did, and they are very decent quality, the paint job on them was really good.

Finishes the car off nicely I think :)

The guy I got the mirrors fitted from also does tints, he said £150 for mine (coupe) and I'm considering a light smoked tint all round but not for awhile yet.

Nice car :). I think the tints might make it a bit too "boy racer" though so not sure about them personnally. Got any pics of what it would look like with them?

By tints I don't mean blacked out, just a light smoked tint all round. It has to be light at the front anyway otherwise around here I will definately get pulled and have them ripped out. So it would just be light all round if I get them done but like I said won't be for awhile yet.

I'll ignore the number plate comments... :)

You don't get 3 points for an illegal numberplate... Its a £30 ticket, no points

EDIT - This is for NI, but I am nearly sure its the same on the mainland...

It's the risk of 3 points if it's altered, fonts, size, spacing etc. You can't get 3 points if it's missing thou :s

Do the Aero splitters on the front not hit some curbs? dunno about you but on my coupe the lowest part of the bumper is merely a couple of cm if even that above the curb when parking forwards in some car parks down here where so I'd imagine the splitters add a few cm length anyway resulting in hitting the curb unless you are extremely careful every time!

Why not just get nice plates? Those ones are illegal anyway.

Illegal?

You could be right but as far as I was aware, I thought because its perfectly readable and no letters/numbers have been changed and the spacing hasn't been changed, I thought it was fine :/

mrk... I normally am careful when going over speed bumps but I think I might have caught the left splitter once because it was a bit loose but I got that sorted and it's been fine since. I just try and take care with it really, floor it on the nice open roads but never over speed bumps or crap uneven roads.

It's registered after 1st September 2001 therefore its plates must conform to the revised numberplate regulations and this includes use of the standard font.

I'll take your word for it Fox, you tend to know your stuff.

Also, are cars registered after March 2001 going to get hit with sky high road tax next year?
