The added weight at the end could be a bonus tho as it will make the swinging motion feel a lot more natural, like the weight in the hilt of a sword.

in general swinging terms tho as long as it is weighted towards one end it should feel better than no weight at all

I hope they release it as an addon as well as including it inside a new remote. Would also like to see new colours for the controllers.

People will still buy it though regardless of price if it looks good enough. Including me ^_^.

I doubt it I own a Wii and a Xbox 360 and the Wii is nowhere in the same league
Its like comparing a PS2 and a PS3.

Or that in the 18 months since the wii launch, 2-3+ years since they started work on it the price of the more precise version that isn't needed by most games has dropped to a point where it's feasible to make it available as an option?

At least it's an additional unit that can be added to existing controllers (one of the joys of a semi modular design), rather than replacing the whole control system after 12-18 months to bring back functionality lost since their console, requiring the dumping of existing controllers to gain those functions.

I'm going to make a complete stab in the dark, and guess the additional controller part will probably retail for about £15 - same as the numchuk, and the classic pad, and that some of the games won't need the numchuk in addition to it.

I wouldn't be too surprised if some of the early games that make use of the new controller addon come with it as part of a bundle.
