No you are wrong, i started working as son as i turned 18 and i have worked hard for all the stuff i have, this is why i get so pee'd off when a student tells me that everything he has earnt is through hard graft and we get it all brought by daddy. That was a totally cretinous comment and you deserve no sympathy. If you are so insistant on moving out then sell all that you can and get a place and then get a job, then you'll understand the true meaning of hard graft and how hard life is. the only difference between me and you is the fact you are making things difficult for yourself. Your parents could hardly of hated you if they wanted to see you every weekend. You've made a mountain out of amole hill and you've turned a silly little squabble into a really serious matter.

Also the fact that you needed to post here to be told what to do screams of "**** what do i do now"

Wow - harsh words in this thread! Some of you guys are acting like pretentious morons!

Get a bar job; you can go out tomorrow and walk around the student haunts and have a job by the end of the day. Use this money to keep yourself ticking, and find some cheap digs for a couple of months. Problem solved. You'll probably really enjoy uni bars too - gives you a social headstart for when you begin in September.

You're not in that much of a desperate situation if you have a bit of motivation. Good luck dude.

Yeah, and those of us who are didn't move out with no plan and no money because we were a little upset with our parents...

I mean seriously, what do you expect to do? Go home or don't, but if you don't then stop moaning you've nowhere to go...it's your choice.
 
You could ask some builders if they need any cash in hand labouring done. Other than that there isn't really any sensible option other than going home tbh.

Next time you'll think twice before doing something stupid I'll bet ;)

Not strictly true, it's summer, tent, sleeping bag, 2 weeks supply of baked beans, cheap campsite. Should last two weeks no problems, I survived traveling round europe on less than £20 a day for months when I was 18...
 
im not moaning i have no-where to live! when did i moan? just sed i have no where,its been a day, can u secure a room and a job in a day!

Someone has already said that. But if you want a toilet then you will have to pay for a campsite and that will cost a bit in the uk.

Great! Perhaps then you can fashion the boxes into some sort of primitive fort and use the polystyrene as either insulation or a pillow. I also hear that the anti-static bags make good mittens too. :)

if you're chilled out, cool guy in London then you can have a bar job in a few hours searching, especially in summer. If you're a egotistical 18 year old in some small town then your in trouble.

A room will be harder, your best bet (as already said - you did read the thread yeah?) is to sort a long term deal with a hostel, they'll likely agree on a £60-80 a week (again, this depends on whether they like you)
