Chelsea do they need to keep lampard?

Because if it was only in one competition it wouldn't be as good?
LOL, I didn't get what he was trying to say with that comment either.

To avoid confusion I got those stats from EPSN and they include Premiership, Carling Cup, FA Cup and Champions League goals and assists.

Wasn't trying to say anything , just wanted to know if that was just in league or whatever :)

Deco would no doubt create more chances then lampard would ever do

assuming this is in all competions

Why does that matter?

The way I see it - no matter how much money Chelsea have, there are players they simply need to hold onto as not only are they world class, but they fit their style of play beautifully.

Cech, Terry, Lampard, and to a certain degree, Drogba.

In my eyes, they bought Deco because the big Russian wanted him just because he could get him...i don't see how he could fit into a team with an already hugely impressive midfield.

he must know something we don't ......

If it was at my post, the Russian is loving this new way of spending his money...he can buy ANYONE he wants to and will get the player regardless of how much it costs. It's like Football Manager 2008 but in the real world for him! :p

Drogba, now there is another one who they need to keep. Apart from Adebayor (lucky season imho) and Torres who else in the league can score 30 goals a season? Replacing Drogba will be a big ask even with 50mn.

Mm, you share my views regarding Adebayor...i don't think he'll perform as well next season - a shadow of his former self.

Don't forget Mikel squeezes in there aswell. He has really really improved over the last two seasons imo and deserves starting spots in CDM. He has really improved under the wing of makelele and for me is going to get better and better.

I feel like Lampard is going, i hope not ofcourse but it feels like he is. With Ballack Essien Deco & Lamps all fighting for two spots i can't see Deco getting much love, he's a player i really rate but he REALLY lacks the physical presence of our other midfielders.

Wait and see i guess.
