All New Summer 2008 Transfer Merry Go Round/Rumour Mill

Apparently Adebayor has been offered a new deal @ £70k week, but he isn't happy with that, and wants to join Ronaldo on slave wages (£100k/week).

Although I rate Adebayor and find he gives a different dimension to our game when needed at times, if a sizeable big comes in from Barca I might be tempted to tell him where he can stick those 3000 extra tenners. Breaking the bank for world beaters like Bergkamp, Vieira, Henry and Fabregas is ok, but not for someone who is just a good striker.
 
Adebayor has a touch of inflated self worth, no way is he worth 100k after 1/2 a good season. If someone will pay 25 mil for him i say snap their hands off and buy Villa :D.

I'm hoping this goes through, although I think he'll need to toughen up a little before he's used to the more physical games that the Premiership puts up.

I've always enjoyed watching Robinho.

Sunderland have already got a team full of ex-United players. Now they want ex-Spurs players as well?

I can't see Malbranque or Chimbonda going. Tainio and Kaboul maybe.
