Kind of figures I was thinking about also - but they could be cash upfront with little bits of add-ons

(Wonder if Rafa has £20m, as Barry purchase was theoretically with Alonso cash, Im sure the majority of Crouch money is available but would be about half of whats necessary)
 
The alleged £57m takes into conisideration those that are off to join Sunderland. It is believed that Kaboul isnt going so that takes £6m off the offer from Sunderland, but could yet still be added to the kitty as Portsmouth still want him.

On a side note, far too many players this transfer window being talked about being worth nearly £20 million pounds.

Bentley, Keane, Berbatov, Barry etc etc.

None of which are worth their touted prices either because of lack of talent, being too old, or both.
It really is silly season this year.

Ha that video must have spread a bit since I watched it yesterday morning. It had about 1000 views. Now its got 32k! Made me laugh when he said his wife was too old to be a pop star

They are probably worth £20 each (oopsss I meant £20m gov :D)

They both have 4-5 years at the top and should be able to score 20 -25 goals a season for a decent side

Considering the £17-18m for Bent, those two are a steal at £2 or £3m more

Bentley and Barry I would agree with though £10m -£15m max I would suggest (even allowing for additional price because they are Brits)
 
Well Keane is apparently on his way. Carson only went for 3-4mn though which is poor given his very young age and England cap. Valencia are considering selling Joaquin and Villa for a bit less.

On the side i think Robinho will struggle in the PL, he is very lightweight to me and not fast enough to do a Wright Phillips round them.
 
Liverpool are close to signing some 19 year old striker from PSG for around £1.5m, with Voronin likely to go back to Germany for around £3m :D

Also it seems as if the Keane deal will be completed later this week once our club doctor returns to England.

Hahaha, their entire source for the interview questions appeared to be Youtube.

I liked when he said he won the title with Norwich, and was player of the year twice. They probably thought "WOW!", not "yeah, that was the Championship. Gee Darren, tell us about how you went back down with Norwich? How come you never managed to hold down a Premiership place again? How many England caps do you actually have?"

The joke is, in the currant bun today they had a big headline saying £57m, then quoted £25m for Berbatov and £18m for Keane. So that's £43m, where's this magic £14m come from??

it shouldnt come as a shock to you to learn that the writers of articles in the sun aint too good at maths, just the same as they aint too good at writing etc :)
