WoW - Warlock/Hunter/Rogue

Also, on another note, with the WOTLK coming up pretty soon, based on that, what would you think would be the best character to take through to this?

Palla atm.. for healing they will.

Warriors for tanking atm. With the AOE tanking ability they are getting they will be awsome :p

Yes i'm a warrior lover - i have 2 of them. One Prot, One PVE Slam. Alos have a druid palla and Lock. All are lvl 50+ with the lock being 70.

Sooo, I was thinking of knocking it on the head and lvl'ing a couple of alts intime for WoTLK and want to know what you guys think is the most fun warlock or hunter. Also is WotLK still slated for a Sept 08 release?
They're both fun, but my warlock is only in his 40s and my hunter is 70, so I can't make a full comparison. That's my second 60+ hunter though, so that tells you how much I enjoy playing them. They're easy to level - a real relaxed run. The warlock is quick and fun, but requires a little more brain effort...not a lot, this is still WoW :D

Warriors get tedious once you click on that you get owned by nearly every other class in the game.

Uhm, what? Have you even played a warrior?
Warriors tear rogues and warlocks to pieces. They can chop up pretty much any clothy going. About the only classes my warrior really had trouble with was shadow priests and druids (nerf!). Oh, and other warriors.

@OP: All 3 are good choices. I'd be tempted to avoid the warlock though as they're pretty boring in endgame PvE. Pretty boring in PvP too if you go SL/SL.

No way will WoTLK be out in September, there would have been a big announcement from Blizzard by now.

I have a hunter and lock at 70, and I'm working on a rogue. My biggest issue with the rogue compared to the other two is that you have to change weapons regularly or your dps seriously starts to suffer. There aren't huge amounts of pugs these days for low level instances, so I probably wouldn't go melee unless you have friends who can help you out.
Hunters are really easy to level, pretty much just autoshot and pet attack then you can alt-tab while the mob dies. Warlocks require more attention, but they're much more fun. My biggest issue with my warlock is that her voidwalker can't hold aggro if I'm in an area where fearing is a bad idea, so I had to respec demo to grind.

I found the WSG weapons to be very useful while levelling a rogue, it does take time out of levelling to get the marks though.

I used to own majority of the warriors I came across in PVP with my 70 Rogue, keep them stunned and they dont stand a chance tbh.

I've had a Warrior since 2005, went from 60 Mage, 60 Rogue, 60 Warrior then 70 Warrior, 70 Warlock, 70 Druid, as I said I loved my Warrior however they are severely gimped in 1v1 PvP.

Good luck tearing a SL/SL Lock apart. ;)

Also skilled Rogues at a similar gear level do not get torn apart, oh and they cannot chop up any clothy going, Mages walk all over Warriors, Shadow Priests do too and let's not forget SL/SL Locks.

:)

When I spec Feral on my Druid Warriors are so lol, so easy to kill I feel sorry for them, even when I'm outgeared by the Warriors I'm facing, they don't stand a chance.

1v1 is pointless anyway, 2v2 is the lowest for any reward and warriors with a healer are pretty dominant at least the team i play (disc priest + warrior) i got close to 2100 last season

If you want to do a lot of PvP roll a rogue, the ease with which they can control any fight is ridiculous - the downside is that there's loads of them about, so if you intend to do any raiding it may be hard to get a guild place. Resto Druids are also crazy at the moment for PvP, being almost unkillable, and well geared warriors if teamed with a healer can be monsters too.
For PvE I'd consider a mage if you don't want to heal or tank, as they're always in demand for crowd control and DPS. Warlocks are also a good bet, capable of great damage and easy to level up, and can also be decent in PvP.
I've got an enhancement shaman who is great in PvE, but hopeless in PvP at the moment, and I'm levelling up a hunter as an alt character. I've also had lvl 70 Warlock and Warrior characters, but for me the Shaman has been the most enjoyable so far, despite the PvP weakness.

If you want to annoy other players at Level 70 roll a Druid and spec Resto, the amount of "OMG NERF DRUIDS" threads on the WoW forums lately is hilarious.

well they are ridiculous in pvp :p a healer than can stealth tank and heal ? im a S2 geared war and ive been killed by healer druids that just go bear form.

out of the 3 youve posted i would say warlock, they are awsome in pvp and in raiding instead of just spamming shadow bolts like one guy said, try be a bit different and go fire, theres a lock in my guild who does 1300dps in raids, he is fire.

out of all the classes i would say druid because there quite imba in pvp and u got a choice of how u want to raid with them.
