Well yes, the single slot cooler on the 4850 is no good for a hot chip like that, should have been a dual also imo.

That depends if you run an SFF, want to run SLI, or need access to PCI slots. One slot is good for some and not for others.A twin slot cooling solution is surely preferable to the cooling disaster that is fixed to the 4850?

Didn't we all clock our 8800GTS to beyond + speeds anyway?
But I suppose there might be more scope to overclock this furtehr with the die shrink.
