Had my Diamond for a week now, upgraded from a Orbit so familiar with Windows Mobile etc, but feel let down by the Diamond.
Use an iPod touch for my MP3's and the interface on that is so much slicker than the Diamonds.
Upside of the Diamond, much better camera and GPS and the form factor is much smaller. Though seems very slow to do things, though have not applied the recommended tweaks yet.
Upside of the iPhone, well you get an excellent MP3 player built in and the interface is much slicker. iPhone though is very basic on phone functions e.g. no forward of SMS.
One thing that chokes me with the iPhone is the 18 month minimum contract, I'll never sign up to one of them, way to long for my liking.
If I had my choice again, well I'd stay with the Diamond, but if Apple manage to sort out the GPS for the next version and O2 provide a 12 month contract then I might switch at next renewal.
