Really? I supposed handicapped, disabled people would be on list as well. Always thought night clubs were run by facists anyway.
All they need is swastika armbands.

Exactly. When this type of thing goes unchecked - and it usually starts with the easy targets, in this case fat people (and exactly HOW fat do you need to be to be turned away?) - how long until other "undesirables" are targeted. How about no blacks, no chinese, no indians (not the casino type
), no ugly people ("sorry mate, you're too ugly for this club") start to become the flavour of the month?I suppose once it affects somebody who isn't one of the "easy" targets, everyone here can get into a massive circle-jerk about how our civil liberties are being eroded.

Their property they can let whoever they want in, if they want a Scandinavian themed place with only tall blond chicks then they can. Just so long as they say you're not allowed in because of your shoes etc etc

its been retracted anyway according to the article and skin color and/or sexual preference does not make you unattractive and put other punters off paying admission
I think the idea of a club that only allows fit women in is incredibly appealing to the average looking fit male, of course those males not falling into this category would also not like it as they would have no chance pulling in there, night clubs are just meat markets, if you want to pull a chunky lover just go and hang around thorntons on a weekend

So why is there a difference between that and "No Gays", "No Blacks" etc? At the end of the day, as you say, it's their property and they can have who they like in.
So why then attempt to state that "No Gays" is different? Is it because you personally find Gay people and their behaviour acceptable - so they're not an easy target of choice for you?
Just as you probably find fat people in clubs offensive, many people find Gays in clubs offensive - but somehow to you that's different? Spare me.

Meh, it's a private property/business and the people who run it have the right to deny service/entry to anybody they choose and for any reason. I think they have signs like this up in pretty much every club or pub I've ever been to.
