Spinning a Car (Damage - Track use)

OK right, yah... I like buying cars with bent chassis too. He's trying to lion chase you. Is he a double glazing saleman or something?

When i drove my car to the ring my mate spun the car. No damage (ie didnt hit anything, curbs or anything)

Im being told by some geezer that chances are i would have bent the chassis

is this really likely?

I'm not sure what's more worrying. The fact that the guy tried it, or the fact that you're even asking us.

If the G-force alone was enough to bend the chassis, imagine what it has done to his bones? You should advise your friend to go to hospital for a structural check-up ;).

Isn't the G force pretty low anyway when a car loses grip? I mean it might have been high up and until the point it crossed the limit and then all that grip is gone and with it the G force too. Then once the spin has finished the tyres regain grip and you get the force again which often results in Clarkson banging his head :p

Only potential damage from spinning/drifting a car really is that the diff may blow up, and you'd know about it if that went
