What has been your favourite gig

There's been a few.

Dave Matthews and Tim Reynolds @ New Theatre, Oxford. March 2007.
Dave Matthews Band @ Wembley Arena. May 2007
Eric Clapton and friends @ Royal Albert Hall. May 2006.
Sigur Ros @ Latitude festival. July 2008
All were jaw dropping.

Pink Floyd - P.U.L.S.E - best concert ever. Was fortunate enough to be in the 5th row.

Dave Gilmour - Remember That Night - another stunning performance - 3rd row this time.

Monentary Lapse of Reason back in the 80's - yet another mind blowing performance but I was in about the 11th/12th row this time so never got as good a view. Still brilliant though.

Also when we had Ian Hunter round my brother's house in the US for his 50th, that was definately one to remember.

I am so annoyed I missed these guys when they toured in July :(

Eternal Kingdom is SUCH a good album.

Yeah i saw them at the SCALA this year on 1st July too, i was there more to watch The Ocean (who i missed completely :( ) but Cult of Luna were as amazing as ever. The bass for their last song Dark City, Dead Man was just bowel rupturing! :D

Strongly recommend Somewhere Along The Highway if you haven't got that, followed by Salvation then the first 2.

A Cult of Luna gig never disappoints it seems, seriously get your arse along to one next time!

Tommy Emmanuel live at St Geroges Bristol, on Halloween, 2003. One of the greatest moments of my life.

Went to see Pink Floyd in rotterdam in 1994, Spent 3 days in Amsterdam beforehand, then went to the Feyernoord Stadium for the Concert. The only word to describe it is AMAZING.

Went to a small gig to see The Stranglers too, that was a bit different.

I've got all their albums, but haven't listened to any of them that much apart from Eternal Kingdom.

Ah thats a shame you haven't listened to them much. I'd deem SATH as better than Eternal Kingdom as it's a bit meandering in places. I was also a little disappointed they didn't carry on with some of the clean vocal parts for EK too, And With Her Came The Birds is one of my favourite songs by them, it's just so different.

Deftones - 1997 - Docklands arena, great gig

Venetian Snares at the Black Swan was good too. :)

Vexkiddy/Luke Vibert/Dan le sack & scroobius pip were also graet at Venn a few years ago...

Mark Knopfler about 3 weeks ago at the NEC - absolutely brilliant gig :)

Yeah we went to see him at the Playhouse in Edinburgh a few months back and it was an awesome night

As for my favourtie gig - it's got to be Rammstein at the SECC in 2005. We were a good 40 feet back from the stage and the heat from the flamethrowers was immense :D

.

I love a bit of Venetian Snares - I would love to go.

I did have tickets to Aphex Twin last december but had to pull out because of Flu. :(:(:(

This year I have tickets to Squarepusher so I am totally being there, not missing that one.

Meat Loaf at NEC? 1993, was my first concert

Albert Lee at the Flowerpot in Derby 2003 - only about 50 people there, had a beer with him in the pub beforehand!

Tool at Nottingham 2006 or 7, amazing gig

Deftones at Rock City 2003

Children of Bodom Sheffield Uni 2002? It was their first UK gig.

Mayhem Rock City 2007.

Probibly lots more. I need to dig out my tickets.

Biffy Clyro at Brixton last November, so good I am seeing them on 17th December same place.

Metallica at Wembley was mind blowingly awesome, bar Mastadon playing there.

I find that if you love a band enough then seeing them live will always be amazing.

I don't agree, I've seen some allot of my favourite bands and they have sucked.

Live gigs is all about crowd interaction, some bands suck at it and most bands have bad days.

There's nothing worse than bands which just play music with no interaction. If I wanted that I would buy a cd which will have better sound quality.

Seen so many amazing bands. But two very surprising ones where
Iggy Pop and prodigy Thought both would be rubbish live, but how wrong could I be.

Metallica at Wembley also rocked as did guns and roses at leads festival was it 2002?
