Because Global Warming/Climate Change won't affect everywhere in the same way... Really it isn't that hard to understand.

move to Mars and let the planet heal itself.... will take a few billion years. Surely everyone can see that humans have just accelerated the next cycle in Earth's natural progression, just seem to most dismiss it as it isn't directly going to effect them right now

Global warming does indeed exist, but whether we like it or not it is a natural process. We cannot do anything to prevent it, or slow it down in any way. It has been scientifically proven many times over that the amount of CO2 in the atmosphere generated by humans is about 0.04%.
