Just ordered one :) Wanted something quieter/almost as fast as my silly old Raptor and hopefully these fit the bill....

Free shipping is awesome too!! A certain competitor offered this through a certain forum as well.

think i'll prob get 2 * Western Digital 250GB RE3 or 320GB RE3 drives, they are getting around 97mb/s read, 11.7ms access time (very fast), 5yr warranty and TWICE as fast in raid0 (195mb/s), normally when raided drives are around 70% faster. They are around £42 and £51 tho, not many places have the 320gb versions which i want, ocuk are charging a bit too much for my budget. Will be a lot faster when raided than these F1 320GB's in 195mb/s vs 165mb/s and 11.7ms vs 13.8ms but obviously costs more. They have hardware error detection too so will be much more reliable than f1's raided, hence the 5yr tasty warranty:)

$ rate decline has meant £ prices go up I'm afraid and it's only set to get worse going on what the financial guru's are saying.

hehe, yeah should be a bit quicker than 54mb/s :P access time will be pretty similar tho.

Im getting quite a bit of lag in games. My hard drive loads and i lag.

I peak at 610mb ram and i have 2gigs, so aint ram. I have a dual core clocked to 3gigs, so not that!

Figured it could be the hard drive. If not, oh well still fancied a new one anyhow. :p

well yeah 54mb/s is pretty slow, 80mb/s is what the previous gen were getting, current 320gb platter drives get 90-98mb/s usually, will help you dramatically.
