£10k spec a car!

Correct.
This thread is what would YOU spend £10k on. I would not spend £10k on an M5 - an M5 with the specification, condition and history I would want would cost more than £10k. I don't want a prefacelift one, I don't want a 6 owner early facelift model with a few trolley dinks and worn seats either.
£10k is doable for a decent M5 but you'd have to bide your time and wait for one to come up, they are not readily available for that budget.
Having said all this, its what i would buy if sticking to £10k, its a slightly awkward budget at the moment in that a lot of stuff is now too cheap, yet a lot of the better stuff hasnt quite fallen this far yet.

I've just realised how odd his request is. Surely if you are into cars enough to want to buy something fun you'd want to pick it yourself. Sounds like he just wants a bit of bling on his drive.

I think I'd be tempted too also.
However, for Maz's friend - maybe a Z4 or 330 Clubsport?
For £10k? If you can even find a Z4 it'll be a rubbish one.
