PROJECT: Girly Mods II.

That looks great, I'd love to get into doing this sort of thing but I wouldn't know where to begin.

Look at previous pictures, and copy :D

It is daunting at first, but you'd be suprised how much easier it is to actually do that plan... Just make sure you have the full idea in your head/written down/sketched, and then follow it.

All of my builds go horribly wrong because i try to change something half way through.

Very nicely done mod btw ladies, one of the only downsides to this cheap, yet wonderful case, are it's looks, and you've certainly fixed that.. =)

Thanks for all the comments guys!

I'm still not totally sure about the inside colour scheme. We were toying with using green cable braid, cuz I have some of it left from when I did my case, and because purple and green look quite good together but I'm not sure if this is definite yet.

Not going to paint anything over the purple on the side, purely because neither of us have the skills to do it! Spraying solid colours is about the limit really, lol.

I ordered a couple of yate loons yesterday but they might not be here until the end of the week cuz they're out of stock so the next update will be a small one probably just wiring up the power switch and braiding the cables!

very nice mate looks like you put a lot of time and effort into builds, its cant go wrong!

What hardware's going inside then?

We were considering a UV cathode and also a white one for something a bit classy, like. As I said, we're concentrating on getting all the bits finished on the outside first then concentrating on the inside so this could all change!

The hardware is basically the best bang for buck stuff we could buy last Christmas so its e2180 (at 3GHz-ish), gigabyte p35 ds3, 2gig ram, about 500gb storage and an 8600gt. The graphics might be due for an upgrade when the student loans come in but I'm not sure yet. It's my mate's computer and she doesn't do all that much gaming so graphics aren't that high of a priority.

The 2180 is a cracking chip and that mobo should push it to 3.3 on nothing more than an AC7.
I built a rig using the same CPU/Mobo just before xmas and its been Video encoding without issue ever since only occasionally hitting 60C.

yeah she's got it at 3GHz at the minute, probably try and push it a bit more when its transferred across to the new case :D

Wow very nice!

I sprayed the inside of my case UV green and the outside black, but it looks cheap as hell, but i did rush it xD

Might try and do something a bit more involved when i get the cash :)

Truth tbh. I'm contemplating adding a fair ammount of purple to my main rig... which is almost purely acid green on the inside, and is starting to look a little boring.

Do it :D You know you want to.

I always wanted purple watercooling to go with the uv green cable braid in my rig, but lack of funds thwarted me. So obviously I am now living vicariously through my mate's pc colour scheme :D

We should hopefully be working on this tomorrow, although we're still waiting on the yate loons, so there might be a mini soldering update tomorrow.
