Have you ever used Steam to puchase games?

I have a total of 45 games on steam......so yes :p

Some games of which theres no way i would have bothered buying from a shop

Bought:

DoD Source (because it was on offer one weekend)
HL2 Ep2

I probably won't get anything else unless there is something on offer.

Yep, quite a few games I've bought on Steam, and will be buying a couple of others soon (FO:UC and Stalker Clear Sky). More convenient, auto updating, don't need disc in to play, etc. I don't care for buying boxed copies of PC games anymore, just take up space that could be better used.

Got Episode 2 from Steam, was no hastle at all, brilliant way to get games imo, really easy etc..., so ill be getting Stalker Clear Sky that way to.

I buy them extremely rarely on steam, they either have to be small or an original valve product. I prefer to have the packaging etc for my games shelf and collectibility. Also easier to sell on.

Yep i use it quite a lot mainly for Valve's own games, Bought about 15 games off their in the last 2 years.

Wow, thanks for the replies guys! Wasn't expecting this many :D

It would seem that the vast majority of people on here have, although that is to be expected considering the nature of these forums :p

Made quite a few purchases on steam and plan to make more in the future.

It's a god send for me, I'm so messy I'm always losing/scratching disks.

Yep. Brought many games from steam. Team fortress 1 and 2, defcon, the ship, audiosurf and half life 2 death match, Im also planning on getting the full half life 2 pack from there this week.

I like how convenient it is, and how i don't have to worry about disks and cd keys and such. it is often handy when playing games with friends and everyone fancys something new.

Loving steam at the mo :)

1 from off Steam and one off Impulse (Stardock). Couldnt buy the second one in stores, and for Orange box, you are forced to install steam anyway to get the patch.

Annoying that I cant easily lend a box to a friend, but thats what they want. I'm worried about these services winding up in 10 years time and me not being able to play that game if I intended too later.

I dislike the idea in general, but I for lower cost games at £20 or less I may consider using them again.

Its been said before, but if Valve suddenly couldn't keep up with the running of Steam, I'm sure they'd release a patch to all their games so they could run offline.
