Can i ask why it's a 21.6? and will it make any difference on the way the res is displayed?

EDIT: I'm really not sure about the SM-2253LW , i've been searching for reviews and can't find any. But then the reviews of the 226 are all 5 stars on ocuk. This is hard :(

I went from a 17" lcd to a 24" a few days ago.. You will definately notice the difference :)

I have the samsung t240 which i guess is similar to the one you are looking for but a tad bigger..

In terms of screen size, theres no appreciable differencebetween 21.6 and 22. They both run the same resolution, same as a 20" monitor, so in terms of how much you see on your screen its the same 20" through to 22".. Only difference is physical size.

No, it will still all be in proportion

It’s just a little smaller than a 22”, and compare it to the equivalent 22” screen and it’s a bargain.

I wouldn’t be put off by it being 21.6”, although not a common size do a little googling and you’ll see there are plenty about.

I guess one thing to take into account if you’re going from 17” to 22” is whether your PC can handle the higher res well enough, but as you’re a keen gamer hopefully its fairly up to date?

I got the 226 BW and it had horrible calibration issues - i RMA'ed it and then they sent it back saying that there was nothing wrong :mad:

In the end i went out and brought a pantone huey pro which fixed it. Please read up about the panel lottery with these monitors before purchasing.
