It's amazing how far a law firm can get using evidence - and I use that term in the broadest sense, acquired for them by a Swiss company that has ignored an order to cease trading in it's own country.

I think it's great how they can translate 1000 peers connected to her as 1000 complete uploads.

Used to download a lot of stuff when i was younger, but once i grew up a bit and got a job etc the appeal went away, if i want something i just buy it.

I have wondered that, i got a letter from virgin saying i downloaded films and stuff but how could they tell isnt that some form of spying?

if you use torrents and use an encryption can they still catch you?

Yes, they only need to see where the encrypted stuff is coming from and going to, not the actual content.

indeed, I know the computer constantly talks with the naughty site via the tracker. But generally all traffic moves through peers. And if it's encrypted, You could be downloading Linux Images.
