***OcUK Vacancy System Builders/Technicians

Always the opertunity to move. :D

Indeed - both Yewen and I moved for the job, I still live nearly 20 miles out, but I'm right on the A50 in Uttoxeter so its an easy commute. :)

How much for no experience?

How much for tonnes of experience (like the bestest PC builder in the whole wide world)?

Just wondering.

What is the starting salary, for say someone with no exp at all?

As Yewen says, it all depends on the individual so an actual figure to throw at you would not be realistic. If you're considering things just send us your CV. :)

When is the closing date for this? I'm on the lookout for a new job and relocation sounds fairly appealing at the moment.

Recruitment is an ongoing process but we throw new interest on the forum now and then - if the right candidate comes along, chances are we'll snap you up. :D

I'm interested, if I don't get into 6th Form, I'll need a proper job and will be able get transport when I get a car/bike when I'm 17. Although I've only ever built one system and never looked into water cooling or anything complex :(

We have a good training program. :)

Mat can teach you to build just about anything and after a week you would be flying along.

Hmm, I think I'll have a look at my options on Thursday and consider this one! Wanted a job at OcUK for agesss but been too young.

Then you clearly are either a) over qualified for the job or b) have so much money you don't need to get paid.

Take your pick. :p

Don't forget guys, you've got Premiership Footy on your doorstep in Stoke, for one season at least anyway :p

Walking distance from the works car park too. (Bit of a jaunt but people do it.) :p

You should make all the applicants post a picture of their pc, see if their cable management is up to scratch :p

if travelling isn't a major issue - its quite near the M6 J15 - I travel daily from Wolverhampton to Stoke. IT is easy to get too, the traffic isn't bad, clear run straight through

I've lived in Stoke (Stoke itself) all my life, and while yes it going slightly downhill compared to what it used to be at it's prime it's still one of the best places to live and work. You couldn't ask for a more friendly place to live, the people around here are great.

Went there a few weeks ago to get to Alton Towers, the JCB plant was nice en-route. Though having said that, I heard Stoke has a BNP council, not entirely sure about that though

The area north of alton is even nicer :)

First I've heard of BNP, although I'm from just over the border. According to their website they have 4 BNP councillors out of 48 - probably normal for any poor area with a large immigrant population, it's certainly not a majority :)

Over the border in newcastle there are none, although quite a few UKIP for some reason, different concerns and prejudices I guess :)
