Games you thought were good but turned out not so good

1. 100% Agree with Prey. The demo had me hooked, but after the first few levels in the full game it just goes all stale. Afaik Prey was the worst 'chore' of a game I forced myself to complete.

2. Ghost Recon 1 - The hype was so high with all those dev diaries. Then multiplayer turned out to be such an anti-climax.

3. Lost Planet - Still a great game but ffs stop falling over you ******* **** ***!
 
PC games: Battlefield 2 and any of the Medal of Honour games... pants the lot of 'em.

Console games: 42 All Time Classics on the DS - great reviews but left me bored ****less. Animal Crossing again on the DS - luckily the wife and the nipper enjoy this.
 
Lost The Video Game ~ Soon turned into the worst game I've played this gen, thought it looked promising as an adventure I could play with the mrs

Perfect Dark Zero ~ only game I've stopped playing before getting a single achievement point

Rainbow Six Vegas 2 (single player) ~ so sterile I just couldn't be bothered
 
Metal gear solid 4.

Put it in the console, got bored of the cutscenes and it's not been back in the PS3 since.
 
Mass Effect - I made my character, played about 5minutes, then turned it off, never played it since.
(due to - short attention span/very impatient/game was ****)
 
It's got to be Assassins Creed by a LONG way. Just played through it and it was a real chore to get through. I could make a list as long as my arm of things that are wrong with it. I'd also have to agree with GTA IV.

Have to disagree about Mass Effect though, I thought it was great and Action RPGs aren't really my thing.

I often find that if I listen to the hype then the game will never live up to it and I will be disappointed.

But surely the online play is good. I play quite often and really enjoy it. I actually like the whole game. Little short but online gaming is great fun.
