All New Summer 2008 Transfer Merry Go Round/Rumour Mill

lets prey we dont sign Senderos

I did see a rumour that Milan might be after him instead but I think that is just journalists being mischevious rather than anything else or have Milan seen something that everyone else has missed?

sibeer, your signature needs a fair bit of editing, 4 lines of normal text is all you are allowed or 400x75 pixels. :)

I was merely informing him that Chopra, being twice the player of Ameobi, costing twice as much is surely right?
I think had Chopra been given the chances Ameobi was at such a young age you'd have been looking at a fantastic talent. Sadly it never happened for him.

I know you hate Newcastle so I'll let you off, but you can't actually believe the stuff you're writing can you? Chopra twice as good as Ameobi?

I suppose you thought that last season as well?

I did actually. Especially as Middlesbrough played a bunch of youth players, sold their most influential CB, had Huth and Pogatetz injured for portions of the season (the former a massive chunk), they only brought in Alves in January and he had to settle, Wheater had to come into the team and Southgate was inexperienced.

So yes, I did.

That doesn't even make sense, selling you best CB etc. is the club's own fault. You're making excuses for them finishing below Newcastle. I could come up with some excuses as well:

-Martins going to ACoN, coming back injured, Beye missed when at ACoN, -Faye missed when at ACoN
-Viduka injured loads
-Allardyce signed rubbish, played rubbish football, team lost confidence.

Not the clubs fault he was a druggy really was it?

A post about Woodgates 'alleged' recreational activities.

I don't think you're allowed to say that here as it was never confirmed although it's well known. He also never got on with Stewart Downing which was another major reason.

On another note Andy, did you hear about Juande Ramos disciplining the players at the hotel when they came up here to play Middlesbrough?

All I'm saying is, you can't say we finished behind Newcastle but only because we lost our best CB, therefore we are the best team in the NE, doesn't work like that. As I said, every team can come up with excuses like that.

I didn't, before or after the game?

It's probable that if they had Woody that they would have got a whopping two more points and finish above you.

And as I've said, it's probable that if Martins, Beye and Faye didn't go to the ACoN then we'd have finished in the top half.

The fact is I wouldn't make excuses like that because we knew they'd leave when we signed them.

Before the game.
They all arrived in as footballers do, put all their bags next to the desk for them to take them to their rooms, the bellhop offers to take the bags to their rooms for them to which Juande Ramos starts telling the players they can take their own bags to their rooms because they are 'big enough boys and get paid enough to do it themselves'.

He then apparently started screaming at David Bentley across the lobby in front of everyone (I'll Paraphrase here because I wasn't there :p)
'DAVID! What have you got on your feet?'
'My shoes boss'
'And they're Nike, get them off your feet NOW! You don't wear Nike, you're sponsored by Puma, you only wear Puma! Take them off right now'
To which David Bentley actually took his shoes off at that point and walked about in his socks.

There was other stuff too, apparently Ramos is a real disciplinarian so it's nice to see him giving footballers a piece of his mind.

Boro and Newcastle were equally carp last season, but Boro win cause they know there carp and Newcastle still think they are good, end of
