I know a few of you have asked questions about, have been tempted by and have recently bought Boxsters so thought this may be of interest as it will for anyone considering a Porsche.
New rules as of 1st October 2008 for OPC Warranties
1. Porsche warranty will be available for renewal only with a 111 point inspection.
2. Renewal costs will be split by model 911/Cayman & Boxster/Cayenne
3.Renewal cost for 911 will be £1350 per annum including 111 pointer plus any work that needs doing.
4. Those wishing to purchase a fresh warranty (i.e not a renewal) will have to have the 111 point inspection as before, and the purchase cost will be £1450 per annum.
5. You must have owned the car for 90 days (to prevent indy's selling cars with the official warranty).
This means the risk of buying a car without a Warranty has increased as you will have to run the car for 90 days before you can stick an official warranty on it.
