When we pulled out of the last Villa deal he came back and was professional.

And isn't Kuyt a winger now anyway? :p When was the last time he played up front.
 
Baz wouldnt you rather save the money and wait until someone whos actually worthy comes along to take Pennant's place?

Just because Kuyt plays on the wing doesnt make him a winger, come on you'v seen how bad he is :p
 
I wouldn't swap Milner for Pennant. I'd rather leave it as it is until someone worthwhile comes along.

Meanwhile Benitez has been singing his usual praises about his lover boy Dirk. I can't see the Kuyt nightmare ever ending tbh... no matter who we get in. Benitez is just far too deeply in love for anyone to replace him :o
 
I have a niggle that Milner may now be available for the 'right' money such that we could sell Pennant and get Milner. Not sure how much of an upgrade this would be as Pennant is quite good in the CL.

I can certainly see Pennant and Voronin still being sold for 9mn in cash. Reira is 8mn which leaves us plenty of cash. I can only dream about Silva etc (since we wont get Barry i hope).

Can Riera play both wings? I think Silva can but is left footed.

Silva's signed a new contract I think, he wont be leaving Spain for awhile.

Personally if I were Benitez I'd start laying golden eggs and use them to buy Ribbery.

It depends. We're having difficulties getting shot of Pennant as he's no interest in leaving for Stoke or Blackburn. If he (and Newcastle obviously) are interested then some sort of swap deal with Milner may be the only way we can get rid of him (similar thing happened with Josemi).

Anyway i doubt we're after Milner and i'd rather sign a rb if we go for another player.

I think Milner is a great little player. Tricky on the ball, has a good delivery and an eye for goal too. Not your typical English player.

You've clearly never watched him, his delivery is poor, he cant even beat the 1st man on corners. Most goals he scores are miss hits.

He is tricky on the ball and runs around a lot, but what good is it, when theres no end product

6 goals in 94 apps for newcastle is hardly an eye for goal. his end product is terrible, most newcastle fans would agree.

no big loss to them if he goes, apart from the fact that they are a little thin on the ground.
