HOUSE RAFFLE!!!!

Does anyone know what the annual upkeep bill is on an estate like that? Surely it's going to cost well into the thousands just to keep the fishing lake up to scratch, let alone all the other outlays.

Most will just sell it straight on.

It's worth a punt, much better odds than ever winning the lottery and its a clever way to sell a house.

Although now I have my ticket theres no point you lot entering really as I can feel that I have the winning entry. :p

exactly - great odds, it's only £25, all a bit of fun

and sorry chief, i already bought the winning entry

25 x 46000 = 1150000.

If he sells all those tickets then that means that 45999 people are going to be left out of pocket like fools and he'll be laughing all the way to the bank, with 150,000 profit (minus a few fees but it's still a hell of a profit for doing sod all).

Its costing him £12,000 a month in fees.

nice one mate! If its brodcasted everywhere and been interviewed and checked out by officials... i hardly beleive its going to be a scam, christ! Go spoil someone elses fun.

Where does it say it's been checked out by officials? And because it is broadcasted everywhere does not mean it's 100% legit. I bet there's some form of hidden catch somewhere.

Featured in the Sun you say? That's worse than having it featured in Heat magazine.

Oh, you've also bought a ticket? It must be good then. You didn't consider buying a bulk load of 615?

Whats your problem? I should have spent that £25 getting that rod removed out of your arse. At the end of the day it would be pretty foolish of BBC to interview on it and do a big story if it was bogus?

....and actually i read in The Sun that it had been checked out and is 100% legit, and it even had the solicitors (who are also legit) in the story with details. So why would that company risk their name??? I'm positive it said something about 29 years of dealing...

Just because someone has a good idea that works, you and others cant stand it and have to shoot the messenger (in this case me) and bad mouth the idea. Go back to your hole, and moan about something else you sad little boy.

Be extremely careful...there was a very similar thing locally to me (Flint North Wales) that got loads of attention, however it all went wrong.

The one in Flint was not aimed as a scam, but not enough tickets were sold so date pushed back and back (she aimed to sell a LOT less than 46000 tickets, roughly 7000 springs to mind). Eventually ended up with the woman involved doing a midnight flit (left the house a right state, still clothes all over the house, etc) and selling the house for cash on the quiet.

AFAIK she ended up in court, something to do with not registered as a lottery or something, even though she had a question on her tickets too.

Yes, this is all registered from what ive read. Plus the guy is a millionaire and the property is an ex business. the guy has sold over half in 1 month and the draw is in December but can go 8 weeks extra if necessary. If it doesnt reach the 46,000 then the raffle is still drawn and the money from the raffle goes to the winner minus the fees for the setup.

Once again, I point you towards the numerous amount of dodgy phone in scandals run by the BBC! Just because something is on TV and in the Media (if you can class The Sun as decent media) doesn't make it above board.

Have i said that? I was just pointing out it was on a leigt programme, in the paper stating its legit and had some good evidence to proove its not a scam, if it is a scam then fair doos - but ive paid £25. You only live once, stop being a miserable sod and pointing out how it "could" be a scam and pay £25. Because if i won and it was legit id rub it in your face for days on end!!!

I'd have an OcUK fishing trip at my new £1,000,000 house, maybe a fishing competition.... bit of a wager on it! ooooppps better not... its could be a scam!

p.s. You can be my butler.
