HOUSE RAFFLE!!!!

This is just similar to the raffles you see in Aiport terminals, Win a this Aston Martin etc. where you sign up to buying tickets for £50 a time.

Would would be the concil tax on a place like that and house insurance, even if you did win it 95% couldn't afford it and would have to sell it at a lost but still be quids in.

...and I still wouldn't care! In fact, I'm still baffled at how you still have any money left considering your track record. :)

what records that? the fact i made one mistake yet from my other profits and my full time job i have a lot of cash in the bank? and can manage to scrape £25 together to make another being happy??? pffft maybe...

Must be crap being you though if your outlook on life is always negative.

No, you could sell it for £750,000 and it would all be profit and the other person buying it would be getting it at a steal.

What's with all the question marks after statements that aren't even questions?

You seem to get wound up pretty quickly, don't you?

Not really, just sick of the likes of you making this forum crap - innocent threads like this always have to be turned into arguments!

Like i said, if you arent happy dont post, but dont make it personal mate, its quite pathetic really.

Does anyone know what the annual upkeep bill is on an estate like that? Surely it's going to cost well into the thousands just to keep the fishing lake up to scratch, let alone all the other outlays.

I'd have thought that with 4 holiday cabins on site it would probably generate a nice second income for the winner tbh....

Hope the stupid bickering can end now...

I'll keep an eye on this and see how many people have entered by the end of November. The problem with this strategy is that if everyone does it, no one enters :o

Where does it say it's been checked out by officials? And because it is broadcasted everywhere does not mean it's 100% legit. I bet there's some form of hidden catch somewhere.

Featured in the Sun you say? That's worse than having it featured in Heat magazine.

Oh, you've also bought a ticket? It must be good then. You didn't consider buying a bulk load of 615?

don't be a fool - if it was a scam and he's fixed the draw so his wife's brother in law wins it do you not think that, with all the media exposure he be found out pretty quickly.

The reality is more that he is getting the asking price he wants and making a nice profit from the 150k or whatever he's built into it for 'costs'.

I think it would be interesting to get your name on the news somehow, wait a week, then Google yourself to see what everyone has said about you on various forums.

/plots news coverage tactic for self...

Doubt they'll sell all 46,000 tickets and if they don't...

The Promoters will be entitled to retain 35% of the Entry Fees to cover administration and marketing expenditure. The remaining balance following deduction of the 35% is “the Prize Fund”. The Prize Fund will then be distributed to the winning Entrant;

yup, still a fair whack to win :) i'd rather have the money than the house.

surely you could get some kind of property management to rent it out and keep it maintained on a commission basis? surely winning this thing you won't lose money?

if you don't win you've just lost £25

Wouldn't be too much of issue to generate an income from the place - could easily be handled by a property management company or simply get a polish couple in - give them one cabin to live in and pay them minimum wage for the bloke to do gardening/maintenance and the bird to clean the cabins/check in new guests etc... wouldn't take much effort to build say 2 more cabins on site.

Main house could be rented separately for a tidy profit too tbh...
