A SERBIAN writer has expressed his shock that countryman Nemanja Vidic has criticised life in the north of England.

Manchester United fan Zoran Djordjevic, who loves Manchester girls like Page 3 beauty Rhian,was amazed to read of the Old Trafford defender’s comments in a Russian football mag.

It quoted him as saying British people were “joyless” and that in Manchester it “rains, rains, rains”. Vidic has since tried to distance himself from the remarks – but not too convincingly.

Should the £45,000-a-week footballer be moaning? Is life better in his native Belgrade?

Zoran, 45, told The Sun: “I think all those beautiful women and fast cars have gone to his head because he’s obviously forgotten what it’s like living in Belgrade.

“We have war criminals running around and neo-Nazi riots in the streets. Another thing is the women here. OK, we get by, but Serbian women are nothing compared to the women Vidic has on his arm in Manchester.

According to The Times:

Tottenham Hotspur have reached a verbal agreement with Manchester United to sell Dimitar Berbatov when they complete the signing of Roman Pavlyuchenko. The Russia forward is expected to arrive in London today for a medical after Tottenham agreed a fee of about £12.5 million with Spartak Moscow. Tottenham are separately trying to sign a young striker after selling Robbie Keane to Liverpool this summer.


I hope to god there's at least some element of truth to it, this transfer window has become so tiresome with the Berbatov chat.
 
Personally I'd rather sign Pavlyuchenko just to **** that tit Levy off. Sign the forward he wants whilst leaving him with another one who doesn't want to play for them.

I checked his wikipedia, says this:

On 28th August it was reported that he was at St. James' Park to agree a move to Newcastle United. This was despite the players agent had become annoyed at the length of time it was taking dennis wise to climb in his high chair to come up with a deal for his player.

You've got to love a free-to-edit encyclopedia. :p

Edit- **** me, he's got 67 international caps at 23 yrs old!

Kamil Zayatte is apparently in talks with Newcastle this morning having broken off talks with Everton.

Wouldn't have thought we needed another right back, but apparently he can play DM too.
