Going to go genocidal on citylink ass...

All my (Many!) City-Link problems went away when I moved across town and got a new driver on the different route, the new guy told me it all boils down to lazy drivers that CBA delivering to your house on that particular day :)

My City Link experience was watching the City Link man on my camera which is attached to the front door while looking out of the window at him.
He made no attempt to knock on the door or ring the bell and just turned around.
I flew out of the door asking where he was going and why he didn't knock.

Spot on for me, only had one problem in about 5yrs and that was due to the weather, I basically live at the bottom of a steep hill, my street got covered in snow so the driver didn’t want to risk getting stuck which is understandable, wasn’t a problem as he delivered it the next day :) Top bloke who does my area no complaints from me, same fro RM as well they are good excellent in fact!! :D

iv also had probably around 8 different parcels delivered with city link and theyre perfect everytime. in fact iv now realised where my house is on the route as the driver arrives between 11am and 11.15am everytime. so no need to get up early and wait :)
seems like its just different areas have bad drivers.

Haha that picture is ace! Never had a problem with CityLink either, but that was from buying goods from other online stores before i discovered ocuk. I always get my stuff before 12 noon, and the driver is friendly too. Im fortunate enough to live within a fair driving distance of ocuk, so if im gonna buy something expensive, £150+ i usually drive up to the ocuk shop and collect it in person. It usually ends up costing me the same amount in petrol as the postage would anyway, plus im quite impatience and hait waiting for it to be posted, so if i decide i want to buy something for the pc, i want it right away.

I was told a monitor was returned to the depot and would be there until next day so i travelled up to Glasgow to be told he has just tried to deliver at your house!, was late for work and everything.

There's a point at which you begin to wonder why OcUK don't change their courier.

Be absolute hell on then as everyone asked for City Link to do the delivery's. :D

Heres a tip everyone, next time these guys ask you who you want to do the delivery's, don't all say City Link. :p

Other couriers are just as bad. The couriers that deliver for MandM Direct didn't deliver a package to me and put no note through the door. I rung M and M and told them and they sent another parcel which arrived the next day. Again no note but a neighbor kindly brought it round to my house.

Then i get a letter from M and M saying their courier believes Ive had 2 parcels and do i want to keep the other parcel . I rung them and they said they will speak to their courier and contact me again. Hope i don't end up paying twice due to their incompetence .

There's certainly more than is normal. We see these kind of threads monthly, and OcUK has a hell of a lot of customers that aren't registered on the forums and thus, don't speak about it. I don't even want to imagine how many people they've annoyed. It's happened to me repeatedly and it's why I use slower options over them now.

We saw more when they used Amtrak, and the forum voted to change it then.

I was happy with Amtrak though and have always had problems with City Link :(

Had same problem.

They do this when they can't be bothered traveling to the place where it's meant to be delivered to.

My favourite was watching a City Link driver pull up outside my house, get his phone out and ring me to say no one was answering the door. This was after I'd phoned the depot and asked them to redeliver it as apparently I'd been carded.

OcUK asked what courier everyone would like them to go with and the majority chose Citylink, I'm sure the majority get stuff delivered just fine.

They've screwed my gf over today, too :( Somethin was sent via city link guarunteed for today (As much as that means with them!) and it didn't turn up, no delivery even attempted :(
