About:
The next evolution in gaming is upon us. From the mind of Will Wright, the creator of The Sims, comes SPORE, an epic journey that takes you from the origin and evolution of life through the development of civilisation and technology and eventually all the way into the deepest reaches of outer space.

Begin your odyssey at the dawn of life as a simple microbe just trying to survive, then use the fun, intuitive Editors to evolve the creature from its microscopic origins into an intelligent, tool-using race. Guide your species as it builds (and the player designs) villages, buildings, cities, and vehicles. Along the way to becoming a global civilisation you can choose whether to hunt or forage, attack or trade, be nice or play rough!

All the action takes place in a huge, lush world populated with creatures evolved by other players and shared over SPORE's central servers. When it's ready, your one-time pond scum launches into space in its UFO on a grand voyage of discovery, planet forming, or destruct-ion! As you explore and play in this limitless universe of unique worlds, your personal Sporepedia tracks all the creatures you've met and places you've visited.

Well i cant wait its only 5 days now until release, ive had the creature creater since release and cant wait to see them in the world of spore:D
PCGAMER gave it 91%.

Got this on preorder. Looking forward to it although have been trying to avoid the hype so I go into it with an open mind :)

nope

It's not really online (ie multiplayer) you just dl other peoples creatures (well you're pc does) and it sticks them in as the other creatures in the world.

Are you sure? I thought I read you can attack other people's colonies online.

nope, there is no online play.
However if you have an internet connection your world/universe will be populated with other peoples creations. But AI controlled.

Can't wait, if I pre-order it with the tree people will I get it on the 5th?

That's a shame-it could have been fantastic if, after entering the universe mode, you could go to other people's planets (sort of like Animal Crossing-but better!).

Probaly the rainforest are usually pretty good depending on which postage option you choose

i really want to play it
will the lameness of a 8600 (something) q9450 and 8gb decently support this?

really the 8600 is only there to power my screen at the moment

It's being made by the creator of the sims and being aimed at everyone.

I don't think they'll have made it graphically demanding in the slightest.

Yeh it's not graphically advanced at all and you wouldn't need 60 fps for it to be playable anyway. Anyone know btw that if you do 'bad things' it aids you in anyway way? I remember Black and White and if you choose to do evil things over good things it would hinder you rather than aid you which way annoying,
