I'd hazzard that piracy has generally more to do with the lack of demos these days.

But a huge amount of the game is based on other peoples creations :confused:. Seeing as it's designed from the ground up with this in mind I don't see how it could be half as fun without them.

was really wanting to get this on release but no chance now. If they have sense they will remove the 3 installs rubbish, didnt bioshock have something similar at first?

if i remember right with bioshock if you uninstalled it from the computer you could then re-install on another.
 
Pre-Ordered this AGES ago (on the 24/04/2008 according to the purple shirted guys) so can't wait to get it.

I'm the sort of person who is always remaking characters in a MMORPG and I have the attention span of a forgetful goldfish, so this game should keep me interested with creating all the different creatures :)

Definitely agree with this, I’m sure a lot of people download because they don’t want to splash out unless they are sure they’re going to enjoy it. This is definitely the reason I download music, just to try before I buy.

Personally I cant imagine the 3 installs thing causing me any issues, doesn’t seem like a good reason to skip a game you otherwise want to play.
 
3 installs is ridiculous. I don't want to have to ask permission to install it a fourth time. I like to reinstall my PC once every 6-12 months or so and that requires games to be reinstalled.

It's stuff like this that convert people to piracy in the first place.

And there WILL be a work around to avoid having to contact EA.
 
yep 3 installs is stupid. Will be downloading the work around. Hopefully after a few months ea will realise how stupid it is and patch uit.
 
Really looking forward to this :D should hopefully have it on Thursday for £23, only bad thing is that i get Viva Pinata Trouble In Paradise the same day haha
 
friend of mine is thinking of getting it, as am i, however i struggled to explain what the game actually is, bascially is it where you start with a tiny atom/cell and then just..grow :S?

yep think intelligent design theory.

You play god and you evolve something from a single cell to a fish, to an animal, to a tribe, to a civilization, to a space going civilisation.
 
sounds pretty cool, its my birthday next week so i shall ask for it. What exacltly do you do with your little creature then, e.g once its on land..just..eat stuff? lol

yep eat and defend yourself. which will give you dna points. when you breed you can spend the dna on improving the offspring.

then when you hit tribe, you spend points on things like tools and fire.
 
I'm looking forward to it, not too bothered about the antipiracy thingybob. As for the 3 installs, its not bothering me too much. I used to install xp about twice a year but with vista I have only done it once about 2 months ago since installing vista on the day of release. Even if I stall once eavery 6 month I very much doubt I will be playing spro
