Thunderbirdz, you're really not making things better for yourself. Most people here would not have done what you did. They would have run away. Neither response is correct. Tell the lifeguard, have a quiet word, etc would have been better.

However, you did intend to cause damage, as you have said, and now I think you're even more in the wrong. You wait till they see you outside, you will be sorry you did that. Surely we really need a bit more info here to see who was right and who was wrong.

How was the pool split up and what was the official title of the session concerned. All the pools near me have set sessions where you can do certain things and not others.

If it was a session of fun pool activity, then the OP should not have been lane swimming anyway, so he is in the wrong even before throwing the ball.

If it was a session of lane swimming why were the other lads allowed in with a ball, the lifeguard should have told them to leg it.

As it sounds like the lifeguard was happy and content with the lads playing with the ball, then I can only assume it was a fun session and not a lane swimming session.

Very few pools will mix sessions as it is a recipe for disaster, as someone will take offence to what others are doing.

Dont know what session it was, I just went there because I felt like getting in a pool for the first time in 2 months. 3 lanes, the rest was 'free swim' or whatever 6 lane pool i think. I dont care anyway it was a rubbish pool and like 31C which is way too warm its just the principal of it

I can't say for certain but I've definitely got my suspicions that an awful lot of people would be happier if he hadn't resorted to violence, maybe that is just the benefit of 20:20 hindsight though.

Why are we trying to explain to him where his behaviour went wrong? He didn't ask for advice, we're not his teachers, he's not a child, and we're not his parents. Why are we telling him what he should be doing rather than reading his story for what it's worth and letting him be?
