brothers in arms hells highway

I think it would look better if it was more rugged,dirty look to the graphics,looks too clean and tidy for a war game.I think the game will still be great fun tho,loved the other games,i enjoyed the tactical side of the game with commanding your soldiers ect.
 
Haha, I was about to post exactly what I said earlier, without reading the thread - only to find it was over a year ago. My stance hasn't changed, this game looks rubbish and there's far too many WW2 games out.
 
WW2 games have been done over and over again is it any suprise this game is not getting much attention from the gaming community?

Thats like saying theres too many racing games or modern day shooters. Only the good ones matter and of those theyre few and far between.
 
I just hope it’s better than the first one – I had that on PC and it was easily the worst game I have ever played.

I totally agree, but this is the main problem I had with the first BIA game, the enemy AI seemed to be geared towards you hanging back and commanding, but after so much frustration with dodgey team AI, you end up running in yourself and there was literally no decent resistance from the Germans (even on the hardest setting); you just steamroller them.

Needless to say BIA was uninstalled after less than an hours play and binned.

I thought it was pretty crap as well. Iron sights never seemed to work properly, countless times i had an enemy centered in the sights, fired a shot and nothing happened. :confused:

Also the enemy placement was pretty weird, some enemies apparently thought they were in cover with about 3/4 of their bodies easily visible.
 
For a friday release can't find much in the way of a review for this yet. OXM gave it 9/10 but for such a big title I cant believe there has been nothing in the way of a demo or review already. Unsure whether to order or not.
 
Got my Pre-order in. Hopefully should come thrusday.

Always liked Brothers in Arms and have been following this one for ages. Really can't believe its actually coming out as it seems to have been delayed a lot!

Xbox version here we come! Also got Pure coming! Woot!
 
8.5 Presentation
The tale of Sgt. Baker and his squad is as good as many war movies, and is a great story for fans of the franchise and newcomers alike. This is a compelling story.
5.5 Graphics
Some visuals, like the particle effects and the slow motion kill shots look great. Unfortunately, much of the rest of the title looks shoddy.
8.0 Sound
The orchestral score swells at just the right moments to add mavity to the situation, and the dialogue is delivered well, although some comments are poorly timed in the heat of battle.
7.5 Gameplay
Commanding your troops are extremely easy to do, and for the most part, they do their job well. However, it's the moments when the AI on both sides break down that stand out like a sore thumb.
7.0 Lasting Appeal
With three difficulty levels, there's enough challenge for newcomers and vets, but the multiplayer won't keep your attention for long.

This came in the post this morning, Not sure if I will keep playing tbh, It takes forever to do anything, and far too much effort is involved in just killing 1 guy,

I am also finding that if I leave my guys on suppressing fire and try to flank, as soon as I get within range they just ignore the suppressing fire and jump the wall and run straight at me

On the plus side it does seem generous with gamerscore, i have 50 points so far and i have only played around 30 mins
 
Grrr looks like mine is coming tomorrow instead.

Ordered 2 games at the same time and looks as if 1 of the games has held the delivery back.
