Keegan resigns + club to be bought out?

Sky are saying he's been sacked rather than he walked. Even if he has walked, you couldn't really blame him after the way he's been treated.

Still not totally sure that there is much more to this than sky stirring because the club didn't release any statements to them, or any other media outlets, about our transfers yesterday. And, if the club stick to their normal policy, I wouldn't be too surprise if there is no statement made denying the rumours. Obviously if they are true then they'll have to release something.

:( sigh...

why sacked? He mustve said smt or done smt to Ashley in that meeting?

Seems pretty clear that the board werent 100% behind him... unfortunately... Ashleys bum buddie Wise to be new manager...hrmm how did Dennis get on at his previous management stint? ;)

as an aside...where do they find these cretins to speak to in the crowd...theres sensible looking people there...why speak to the thickest looking ones!!

I can't believe he took the job tbh, we could all see that Alladyces time in charge was hampered by Ashley clearly wanting a big name manager but to essentially be in charge himself. THe players ultimately he thinks are good got bought, Smith, Barton and the likes, and he seemed to push Smith being picked despite being hopeless. AShley showed he'd be an awful interferring boss, and no sooner had Keegan signed he started hiring around him without telling Keegan. Remember right after he started he said Wise wouldn't be hired and later the same day he was claiming he knew about it when he signed on as manager, total joke.

You'd think with Keegan gone the only choice now is Wise, purely because who else would take the job. OK some crappy manager might want the money but its a quick route to becoming a laughing stock, manager with zero control of his club, what remotely decent manager would do that now?

Who are they going to get, I wonder how much they have paid in getting rid of Keegan and Allardyce, Mike Ashely is a power hungry ****

What Ashley needs to do is get a strong coaching staff. People who know how to train and measure fitness, develop team building etc.

If you had the money Ashley has and had a football team, would you not consider playing Real life Championship Manager? .

Unbelievable... gutted if he goes. I'd like to think the meeting was to settle the differences and move on, however unlikely. Sounds to me like the same sort of stuff as the last time. Ashley trying to flog Barton off to someone, Keegan wanting him to stay. Who knows, sounds like we'll find out soon!!!!
