Why? The latest version would include bug fixes etc... Maybe a new version of FF will fix my stability issues!
Well I may have misunderstood you. If you meant you read the release notes and such then install fine.
But in my experience I've seen people use 'automatically download & install', only to see an improperly tested patch break something else. Just paranoid caution.

Not a single issue here at home, but at work I do see that crash reporter thing a lot when I close down FF...I don't understand why that happens tbh. We do have shoddy XP machines there that are barely able to run McAfee AV in the background though.
Reported crashes should show up in about:crashes.
Wouldn't be the first time it's failed to update, or left bits lying around that conflicted. I'd try the Flash 10 beta too.

So a few problems then
The only problem I've had is occassionally when I exit FF3 is it comes up with a could not close properly (end now) so I reverted back to FF2. Also it isn't compatible with the Real Player Downloader add on
It is now, though the problem's the other way round.
