Pictures of my first Water cooling build..

Thta's not a bad idea.. he has his fingers in everything.. :D

The apple doesn't fall far from the tree eh Huddy? ;)

Looks great, really want to do this, but dont really know where to start, even with cases and what fits with what etc.

Did you use any website/sources to help you? Or did you just improvise?

Just plenty of research and reading. The Custom PC guide helped big time but I quite like doing all that.

I think the major probolem with watercoolong is the radiator because of it's size. The rest is pretty simple although time consuming. The build was over a course of 3 to 4 days.

Yeah, I put on my Waterblock yesterday and flushed the Rad. I also put the motherboard back in. Tonight will be cutting the tubing and connecting it all up. Then it will be crossing my fingers time and hoping it doesn't leak and works properly, then 24 hour test. That will mean I'll be ready to put it back together and hope it boots. So, it's definitely a few days in it. Two days, maybe, if I didn't have to go to work!

I used 7/16 tubing on 1/2" Swiftech barbs for my first WC build, didnt use jubbly clips or tie raps, just run the system from an old PSU for an hour using the white towel method. No leaks then (18 months ago) or since.

good work

inspiring stuff

im trying to resist temptation of watercooling as i know i dont need it

What's wrong with the case?

Absolutely nothing m8.

Thanks for sharing your build, I have really enjoyed reading your build log on here and your website.

For sometime I have been hanging my nose over "doing" a watercooled build, read a few guides on here but nothing more..... Guess I need to start planning one! :D

Out of interest, how often do would you need to replace the "water" ? and how?

When it leaks :D

I'm not sure, since the system is closed then I don't see the need. Could be wrong.

That said, I'm upgarding the GPU within the next 6 months so I'll drain the whole system out then and replace.

i was thinking about getting this case but there looks like not enought gap between the psu and motherboard if i cant to install sli on my motherboard, the hose outlet will not be accessible, any thoughts on how it could be done ?

I'm pretty sure there is enough room. You could even have a double rad at the bottom with some minor mod to the case. In fact, I've seen pictures with this set-up..

Admiral - how do you find the combined res / pump set up ? ive been thinking of one of these myself - how are they on noise ?

heres some pics of my mobo with the crossfire setup, you can get a better idea what i mean if i shove that lot in a cosmos with the psu at the bottom of the case it looks like the hose will be inaccessible.

main reason i need the case is it looks like my pc will need a 1200w psu soon and there is not enough room up top to install the rad due to the extra length of the psu.

I 've ordered that pump/res combo after reading this thread but have gone with the D-Tek FuZionV2 after reading how low restriction is and suits this combo down to a T. It's a shame it's not see through like yours though to show off the coolent.
