The fact that it just seems an mmo style grind, design creature, go kill 3 of these/go entertain these repeat x20, collecting parts and changing creature,

repeat till you get to next stage, then, entertain/kill so many tribes, next stage capture by force or by religion, by the galaxy phase I was already massively bored.

AS by the tribe stage you don't seem able to change your creature any more just his cloths/buildings/ship.

galaxy phase instead of being a nice sand box it looks like it's going to be a big grind of the same 5-10 side missions over and over to get all the parts :(


basically if you like the desiging buildings/creatures/vheiicals you'll probably like it, if you like more varitiy in the game play probbably not so much.

Although it was nice to see one of the maxis air vheicals was an SR-71.



I gave up before i got all the terraforming tools, would have been nice to see if i could make the planet uninhabitable for the civ living there without getting attacked.
 
Hmm. I still want this. Just at the right price point. I may buckle and still get it.

Then again I really want Condemned 2 and the new Star Wars game on my 360.

I suppose if this game does flop I'll probably be able to get it next month for £20.

Has it ever been said that Spore is aimed at a specific age group or is this just conjecture? Genuinely interested as I thought they deliberately tried to give it mass appeal by not targeting any particular age or playstyle.

And no I don't want the EA download manager thanks very much Spore installer!
 
Terrible terrible game, now my lil stupid creatures are just dieing from hunger with their hands full of food they have no intention of delivering to the warehouse thing.

Uninstalling, what a disappointment.
 
it wont let me create a spore account? :/ my EA email is right and password, tried loads of names... :/

That's what is confusing me though, Maxis have delivered. Everything we saw in the videos and interviews with Will Wright are in the game, nobody has been short-changed here (excuse the pun. :p)
 
I was enjoying the space part till now i'm defending all the damn time!. It won't stop throwing ufo's at my planets every few mins and its becoming tedious. Whats worse is , they attack you with like two big ships and lots of mini ones while even through numorus stages i'm only allowed one allied ship so far.

Annoying :(

i didnt have my hopes up and im LOVING this game, its a gamr that sucks you in so well!!!

heres a wee vid of me playing it (res was lowered to 800x600 for fraps), showing how large the game acutally is lol... ive made some enemies (guys in the red) and some alliances (guys in green), im still learning stuff, sure its a bit repetative. but dont forget, that at anypoint you feel your not enjoying it, just change how you play lol, like i was a warrior, tried taking stuff by force and i got bored, so i started to trade, make trade lanes and help out other people, now im loving it :) exploring and buying off planets to widen my empire and eventually rule the galaxy :D

sound buggered up, but meh

niggles are that sli doesnt work and the textures could be much better, but i spose a game of this size would be huge in gigs if the textures were high res :(
