Thats what i thought, but the second boy who went to jump then stopped, makes me think they where trying to do free running, but ran from where they couldn't see the bus, and he was too focused on hitting the railing to notice the bus, when he came onto the pavement.

Back when i was at school regularly catching a bus home an annoying little scrote always used to jump infront of cars on the main road then back to the pavement when they got close.

One of my life regrets is not being there when he got both his legs broken, didnt see him doing it since then.

Same thing happened to me. A group of kids came running towards a zebra crossing and one didn't stop and just ran straight into the road. Fortunately I was aware of the potential danger so was able to slam on the brakes just in time and only just touched him and he stayed on his feet.

Driving at school kicking out time is a dangerous business

and if you would have hit him you would have been blamed.
