One thing I would say in KU's favour, I find both the opening a closing themes quite good. I really liked the Under17 track which was used with the original OVA episodes and was disappointed that it wasn't used here but these tracks have grown on me over the series.

Seeing as I was ordering some stuff from japan anyway I've added the CD's for both of these to my order :) ... I already have the single for the Under17 track :)
 
Ok, who's the muppet who decided that having an extra with Shuffle disk 6 + artbox of some underwear would be a good idea .... it'd bad enough trying to explain Lucky Star tshirts without having to explain panties!

Had a few other things come at the same time; Strawberry Panic #4, Rahxephon (new canon collection inc series and movie), Rune Soldier, Gunbuster and the This Ugly But Beautiful World Tin collection :)

I see there's report that Lucky Star #3 and Gurren Langan (sp) #3 may have disk issues like Bandai releases earlier in the summer .... they really need to slap whoever's doing their replications around abit if it's true ...

Bandai seem to have almost constant replication issues, i think almost every month this year they've had problems with one batch or another.
I guess it could be they are using a cheap replication plant:(

Re shuffle, I have the same problem with the Najica box ;)

Given that I'm in an open plan office at the moment ...oh and yes I don't wear panties ... I would not know :) Haven't actually taken the shrink rap off it yet .. it's bad enough having the TUYBW tin on the desk which is covered with scantily clad young ladies.

edit: they are purple, have "god" on them, and the only thing they are likely to fit on for me is my head (and no to any comments of TTIUWP) :)

Yeah, I'm still waiting for my Code Geass LE box 1 muttermuttermutter ... there was talk elsewhere that it could be due to the copy protection stuff they may be using on the disk which puts in artificial bad areas and this may have been mastered poorly and hence be causing issues ... but I just want working disks!

Najica, only got the singles for that so missed out :) .... disk #1 and #3 of that series have my all time favourite commentary tracks, (Kira Vincet Davis and Monica Rhial with Monica shouting "panties" half the time .... quality :D).

Has anyone else had any stuff from DVDP since they changed their shipping?
I got a package earlier, that arrived in about a week with their cheapest shipping, and I note that they've changed the packaging completely, and now include a returns address label and one that shows the cost (they never used to include any paperwork, just the main address sticker and customs stamp).
 
I am still not 100% sure i really like the translations used but have just preordered the second series :)
Of more interest to me was that season 4 is `in production` in Japan:D
I will definitely be keeping an eye out;) for that:D

I pre-ordered both series and the OVA set at the same time when they were announced initially, (UP allowed them to be preordered with a release date of TBA) :) .... The green light for the fourth series was announced earlier in the year and if it's started production in August I'm guessing it will start being shown (assuming series not OVA) in the Autumn.

UP's system is annoying me at the moment as they haven't put in all the November solicitations yet and I want to pre-order Strawberry Panic 5, Majical Lyrical Nanoha and Familiar of Zero while I remember.

Currently watching Shuffle, watched the first disk and a helf last night and found it not bad, although rather ecchi in places.

Shuffle! Memories

Should be avoided however as it is basically just a recap of the series(from what i remember it uses 99% of the original footage too :) )
Original i enjoyed though...nowt wrong with a bit of Ecchi:D
 
Hey guys...can anyone help?

I used to be really into Anime when I was around 16..im 27 now :p and kind of forgot the must see movies..I still remember akira..but my question is can anyone recommend me a list (even old ones) that I should see to get me back into it? (to buy/rent)

I remember liking patlabor, but im sure theres loads of must see movies!

Much appreciated :)
