Thought I'd see if anyone is heading to Trax 2008 this year?

I've not been to any shows before but my mate mentioned it and then I saw a thread about it on Briskoda so I decided to get a ticket :p

Coming down with my mate (Ford Focus ST) plus two others, looking forward to it :)

Anyone else going..? Anyone been before and what to expect?

No, this is the BMW + Mondeo subtle modding only forum

Which is why only one of the threads currently on the front page refers to a BMW or a Mondeo?

Trax is a chav-fest full of badly modified cars and car-bimbos standing around overpriced trade stands - I doubt many people are going from here as a result :p

Does this look like the Max Power forums?

Shurrup ! If you live within a 100 mile radius IMO its a good day out. Yea you get loads of ****S but that does not bother me. I still enjoy watching the cossies scoobs evo's M3s etc driving the track and doing the 0-60 strip. Its just a case of choosing what you want to see in the day as its a pretty big event. Also to let you know there is no way near enough smut at trax, in this respect its not like max power live.

I was due to be there but fixing my car is more important so wont be going ...

I'm going again this year. Trax is a good show, it is large with a huge variety of cars so while there are chavs there is nice stuff. It seems to be well attended by owners clubs rather than just inundated by cruise sites. The track is a great thing to go and watch, just the different people hooning although I find it dangerous a bit because of the nutter pro drivers in the elises cutting through :(. As for the fanny I think there is plenty of it!!

Agreed, however you failed to mention the hundreds of tastefully modified cars, track action and 0-60 sprint which see's some of the fastest road legal cars. All in all its a great show if you can block out the chavs and fibreglass nightmares.

I've been for the past 5 years and enjoy the show as a whole. Saying that I'm mostly taking photos around the track.

Trax is a great show, yes there is a big chav contingent but it's not a pure chav-fest like USC. There is a big variety of stuff, and the track action and 0-60 sprints are always a great watch. IIRC the 0-60 world record was set at Trax, an RS200 did it in around 1.9secs IIRC.

I've got a track session booked, it's a 9:20, I'm praying the rain holds off

Damn going to miss you on the track then, my mate is driving and he refuses to go so early. :(

He really should get there early, or he'll end up waiting in traffic for a couple of hours to get in. The q's get absolutey massive.
