i reinstalled the game and canceled the automatic update patchs. but tbh i can't see any different in fps. i read the readme file on the dvd and it says dx9 or dx10.0. it doesn't say anything about dx 10.1.Vista, SP1 and Assassins Creed with no patches for to see DX10.1. If you update you will be involved in the controversial removal of the DX10.1 code by Ubisoft. If you've already patched Assassins Creed then save your saved game profile and reinstall with no patches and you should be fine.

one thing that the System Requirements is wrong that is it does work on vista x64. lol
