Most suprising movie deaths

good call on BtoT and Serenity how about denzil washingtons character in Fallen?

Man, I totally forgot about that one. What an ending.

Someone mentioned shock at the original "Clerks" ending.......in the original version, at the very end Dante is behind the counter stocking out - a dude walks in, shoots him in the chest and empties the till, then leaves. Cue credits.

Can't believe the love for Samuel L. Jackson's death in Deep Blue Sea.....his positioning right at the edge of the water, with EVERYONE else completely opposite him while he gave his speech couldn't have telegraphed it any more for me. Saw it coming a mile away.

I wasn't. It's like the token landing party crew member in Star Trek. The minute the camera centres onto that person, you know they will meet their demise shortly afterwards. ;)

It was how it happened that was the surprise.

The "Hero" character in "Feast" - totally cheerworthy death.

"I'm the guy that's gonna save your ass"... SMASH!!
:D (Feast 2 - October, bring it on!)

American History X - eating the pavement

Hostel 2 - onscreen castration? Surely not? surely yes!

Storm Warning - took me completly by surprise given Director Jamie Blanks previous goreless bores, but the bit with the dog...actually all scenes involving the bad guys getting their's are downright nasty...:)

Final Destination 2 Ladder accident. Well everone knows he's gonna 'get it', it was how and when. Great how the sound is used for effect before you get to see the actual kill.

This definitely has to be the biggest spoiler thread ever, Im leaving before something gets ruined :P Oh and I Am Legend suprised me a fair bit!

For most surprising death? Wouldn't have said so, doesn't take long to realise anyone could go in that film.

yea but in those scenes where people are aiming at eat other and are like 'you shoot him you die' it never usually happens. i wasnt expecting it tbh.

Actually, the opening scene of Final Destination was quite a shocker. The first time I saw it I thought the kid was going to get hauled off to the nuthouse and the plane would be fine. The effect was just awesome -- in the background seeing the plane explode, then watching as the shockwave came in and blew out the windows of the airport. Totally sweet.

I'm really glad they got Ali Larter off that plane, but it's a shame she got killed off, too.

I'm going to go for Jeff Bridges' death in Arlington Road, in terms of the twist, as opposed to the manner in which he died. Best twist ever.
